Located in the heart of Melbourne's beautiful Bayside region, Castleman Galleries with it's accompanying framing business, is owned and operated by Narelle Castleman, who started the Gallery in July 2001, initially calling it Arkaringa Gallery. In October 2004, to reflect Narelle's surname, Arkaringa Gallery became Castleman Galleries. Narelle's mother, Beverley Castleman is also involved in the Gallery as an art consultant.
To suit a variety of tastes, decors and budgets, Castleman Galleries showcases a beautiful eclectic range of contemporary, modernist and traditional paintings, drawings and prints in a variety of mediums by noted and emerging Australian artists. Castleman Galleries, at 102 Bluff Road, Black Rock, is located centrally in Melbourne's southern Bayside suburbs about a 40 minute drive south from the Central business district of Melbourne. Bluff Road runs south from South Road to the Clock Tower at Black Rock beach. The Gallery is half a kilometre north from the Clock Tower. During October 2008: Generally open Friday and Saturday 11am-5pm or by appointment at other times. |
